It's been my experience that there really isn't premium pricing for "rare" chests. There seems to be a general level of pricing for chests depending on their model. A little more for premium...

    Moving

I'm moving and need to move about 40 chests. Any thoughts? Only going 8 miles. About a dozen has been restored...the rest are in various states of disrepair...

These old chests are a little like Stanley Hand Planes. A few are in really good condition and should be kept as found. The majority can be restored with little or no negative on value. I have...

I was thinking late 60s - early 70s for the switch to staples. No real data - just a gut feel.
