    Art for Art's sake

Bought a leatherette Gerstner for $80 and it came with free shipping. Never know what offer people will accept unless you offer on eBay. The chest was solid, but leatherette was not repairable. Three coats of paint, sanding, clear coat, rough buffing, a handle recovered by our resident expert (thank-you so much), felt from Dayton, Ohio, and a little art work. This was the only way to save the chest and since I have this strong desire to do something creative....I did it.

I think it's a great way to re-purpose an old chest with damaged leatherette. Gives it a new life........Ted

I agree! I just don't have that kind of talent. I can't think outside the box.
